Gemario Chavez Brooks was born June 27, 1985 to the loving parents of George and Gwendolyn Brooks of Port Gibson, MS. Gemario is a 2003 graduate of Port Gibson High School where he was a member of the marching band and football team. He was also rank #25 among his class. He was chosen as one of Who's Who Among American High School Students. He then continued his education to Hinds Community College in Utica, MS. He majored in General Studies while attending the Junior College. He then transferred to Alcorn State University where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication. While attending Alcorn Gemario was writer for Alcorn's school news paper "The Alcorn Campus Chronicle." Gemario is also a three-time Dean Scholar at the institution. While majoring in Communication he recieved the Layout and Designer of the year award and Portfolio of the year from his intermship at the Port Gibson Reveille.
